I would be honored to have a member from the legendary Idiot Savants in my group, but are you sure that I and some of the other group members would not slow you down? I can at least say for myself that I am inexperienced at PvP, but I will try my best to put up a good fight.

This Saturday is when I plan on contacting people and doing Tombs. I have a lot of free time that day, so I would like to do it then.
Shoot ... I won't be around this weekend. Still add me to your friends list though. And I'm not all that comfortable being referred to as legendary heh. I'll pass any credit for our success to my guildmates. (very flattering though thank you).

The only Ranger skill I have points in is Wilderness Survival. Frozen Soil uses that attribute so I could take it but I'd rather a primary Ranger do it, since it takes a skill away from healing. and yes, Frozen Soil is very very useful in Tombs.

I'm on summer break right now so I have pretty much nothing to do except play computer games. I usually wake up around noon PDT and go to bed around 2am PDT, and I'm usually available to play any time between then. BTW my Xfire username is lolkukuman.

I am usually available during the evenings, SMT.

Oh, BTW... will you guys be using ventrilo 2.1.4 or 2.2 ?
And does anyone know of free servers? I've only used my clan's servers up to now.

Anyway, I look forward to playing with you guys.

heh, I fought against iQ in Hall of Heroes, we fought against them for the whole 15 minutes with neither team having an upper hand, preventing them from winning!

We're not legends. The game has only been out for a month.

Sarus is modest though. He kicks ass, as much as any monk can. (Not yet a legend.)

If this were true, I'm sure it would be frustrating. However, since matches in the Hall only last 10 minutes, I doubt you were involved in the match.

If I'm lucky, I may be able to squeeze in time on Friday. However, I would not be able to play for an extended period of time. If, by some extraordinary divine fortune, our team is very solid and can seize and HOLD the HoH for a long time, I would have to leave sooner or later. Still, I will try my best to see what I can do.

Unfortunately, I myself do not know of any. Originally, I was assuming my topic would eventually die and that my idea was stupid, so I had not planned on looking for a Ventrilo server. Would anyone or their Guild be willing to lend or provide a server for our PUG?

Here's the roster at this point:
1) Protection Healer Mo/Me (taion)
2) Standard Healer Mo/R (kukuman)
3) Minion Raiser R/E (Nikron Ke Ra)
4) Disrupter? Me/N (Jab)
5) Tank W/Mo (Hemisphere)
6) Some kind of Ranger...? R/? (Morat)
7) Elmo Healer E/Mo (Leon Silvis - that's me)
8) Tank W/Mo (Joshjje)
9) Ranger R/E (Venom)
10) Monk M/? (Sarus)
11) W/R (Sovetskeey)

At this rate, there may be enough people after a while to form two solid PUGs for Tombs. Tomorrow, I will try whispering all of these people at around 7:00 PM EST, to see if there are enough people for the party.

Since we DO have more people than a party allows, and since I have the attention of arguably one of the best PvP Guilds in the game, I would like to ask: What would be a good party to form from this lot?

Also, Sarus gave me a PM about giving me advice for making a solid build with E/Mo. While I do want advice, I would also be willing to hear what everyone else has to say. Any suggestions?

I *think* I may have found a server we can use, but I have to check the user limit on it, and it is running Ventrilo 2.1.0. Can connect to it using the 2.1.4 client version though.

So how many here actually have Ventrilo installed and setup? And which version do you all use? I'm currently using 2.2, and you can't have two versions installed at the same time. However, I have a workaround for that...

I'm not gonna be around tomorrow much (except late night/early morning), but I'll be here during the weekend (evenings/nights).

I could always set one up on my computer, I havent tried it yet to see if it lags or if the bandwidth is a problem, but i have a pretty good DSL connection so.

I have 2.2 btw, which is the newest i think, also have TS.

I was just about to post something similar to this myself. However, I'm on the Euro server and don't use TS or V as I don't have a microphone. I can however follow targets so that shouldn't be a problem.

GREAT JOB DETECTIVE, YOU SOLVED THE CRIME!

or I could have just forgot what the actual duration was. after all, it was my first time in HoH and no it wasn't frustrating, I was very very happy to be in a group that could stand toe-to-toe with a group consisting of one of the best guilds in the game.

If you did manage to prevent iQ from holding, congratulations are in order, sort of. Once we get in place we're hard to move. However, I'm still skeptical you were involved- didn't you just say

Call me a skeptic, but I find it hard to believe you made it to the hall after having only earned 2 fame all week- that would mean you won one match and skipped all the way to the hall. It's possible, but happens very rarely.

The other option is that you're prone to exaggeration, which I hear does wonders for your credibility.

I'm not trying to pick a fight here though- leave that for the HoH to decide. iQ is far from unbeatable.

I do have an issue with teams who give up at the start and don't even try to win- why are you playing? To cause the other team grief? I understand we've developed a reputation and some people want to grief us as some type of trophy- I understand that it happens, but I don't agree with it. When I play, I want to win- why do you want to play?

What's even more fun than winning is a fight that challenges you- if that means we have to fight against 2 teams whose only goal is to stop us, so be it. That we lose some of those fights should be no surprise.

But we've won a hell of a lot more.

Well, I'm glad were losing. It's MUCH better to lose now and start finding out little oversights the hard way than to continue winning and become obvlivious to certain things and end up getting smacked.

Did we just sit there and fight you in the the little 1v1 area before the bridge forms a few days ago? If so I remember that fight. Sooo annoying. We were a man down so we couldn't kill you guys. Your monks were using some stances and/or aegis so we couldn't hit them.

Not sure if you need to use my Warriors name to whisper me, if so, it is Amy Payce. Lately I have been on PvP made toon, named Juel Dancer if you want to whisper that name as well.

As for a Vent server, I am more than willing to donate money for server usage.

Moving back to on-topic land...

Once again, here is the roster:
1) Protection Healer Mo/Me (Altariel Artanis)
2) Standard Healer Mo/R (Borat Sagdiyev)
3) Minion Raiser R/E (Nikron Ke Ra)
4) Disrupter? Me/N (Grant Miller)
5) Tank W/Mo (Juel Dancer)
6) Some kind of Ranger...? R/? (Octavian Vanguard)
7) Elmo Healer E/Mo (Leon Silvis - that's me)
8) Tank W/Mo (Janus Remus)
9) Ranger R/E (Samael Lightbringer)
10) Monk M/? (Sekusi Sarus)
11) W/R (Grimm Snotbubble)
12) Pyromancer E/W (Sekkira Nendedaga)
13) Tank W/Mo (Santanus Perro)
14) Healer Mo/E (Sergei Einherjar)

I would ask that everyone please PM or post their current attributes and skills for the character they are planning to use for Tombs, whether or not these things have been refined properly for PvP. That way, we can refine the builds and provide more unity for the party. I will also be pasting the builds that have already been posted into this post, so that we can have all the vital information in one spot. This is my build AT THIS EXACT MOMENT:

Leon Silvis

Attributes:
Fire Magic 0+3 (Fire Eye and Rune of Major Fire Magic)
Energy Storage 7+1 (Minor Energy Storage Rune)
Healing Prayers 10
Smiting Prayers 11

Skills:
Orison of Healing
Dwayna's Kiss
Heal Other
Healing Breeze
Healing Touch
Infuse Health
Word of Healing
Restore Life

I honestly don't know what I want to do at this point. Sarus recommended having at least three monks - currently, we have just 3. However, I could pitch in and be a fourth monk, OR I could completely go in another direction and be an Air elementalist. I could also utilize a bunch of smiting prayers skills and become a smiting caster, or I could use Fire magic for AoE at chokepoint.

Any advice?

Other people's builds:

Janus Remus

Attributes:
Swordsmanship: 10+2
Healing Prayers: 9
Smiting: 11

Skills:
Frenzy/Pure Strike/Hundred Blades
Sever Artery
Gash
Final Thrust
Symbol of Wrath
Healing Breeze
Scourge Healing/Judges Insight/Banish
Strength of Honor

Samael Lightbringer

Attributes:
11+1 Expertise
10+2 Marksmenship
9 Fire Magic
the rest = Wilderness Survival

Skills:
Conjure, Glyph, Mark of R., Poison Arrow, Distracting Shot, Hunter's Shot, Troll Ungent/Savage Shot, Throw dirt

Juel Dancer

Attributes:
Axe: 12+2
Strength: 10+1
Healing Prayers: 8

Skills:
Flurry
Dismember
Axe Twist
Executioners Strike
Healing Hands
Healing Breeze
Resurrect
Sprint

Sekkira Nendedaga

Attributes:
Air Magic 2+1 (Rune of Minor Air Magic)
Fire Magic 10+2 (Flame's Eye and Rune of Minor Fire Magic)
Energy Storage 8+1 (Rune of Minor Energy Storage)
Swordsmanship 12

Skills:
Meteor Shower
Phoenix
Flame Burst
Lava Font
Seeking Blade
Conjure Flame
Aura Of Restoration
Resurrection Signet

------------------------

Sarus recommended that we try to have the non healers focus on disruption and stopping other healers from being able to do their job. With the large number of Rangers signed up, this would probably be possible - however, I do not know much about the Ranger profession, so I do not know what skills would be proper for that task (other than the insanely annoying Distracting Shot ._.)

I may have to delay what time we do Tombs, because I think it is best that we do as much advance preparation as possible. Being able to seize HoH is a huge challenge, so we have to be able to give 110% when we get there.

Edits:
1) Added the builds that have been presented to me.
2) Updated roster.

Well in that case:

Attributes:
Air Magic 2+1 (Rune of Minor Air Magic)
Fire Magic 10+2 (Flame's Eye and Rune of Minor Fire Magic)
Energy Storage 8+1 (Rune of Minor Energy Storage)
Swordsmanship 12

Skills:
Meteor Shower
Phoenix
Flame Burst
Lava Font
Seeking Blade
Conjure Flame
Aura Of Restoration
Ressurection Signet

This build so far allows me to do some pretty hefty damage while staying alive nicely. The res signet is there in case our healer/protector goes down. Someone needs to get them up quickly. The Meteor Shower is mainly for spike damage and if someone's caught in it, it's mere seconds until I take them down with my AoE's.

Filter and Santanus, I have added your names to the roster. Please PM me or edit your posts with information about your characters. I need to know your attributes and skills you use the most OR plan to use for the group. Thanks.

So far, 14 people have signed up. At this rate, we may have to form TWO PUGs for Tombs. I can't wait ^_^

Will do, I am at work right now, but when I get home will edit profile. I will also need the ventrilo server IP, port number and password. Of course, we can do that in game.
